Quality of Life Begins at Birth - 5: How Educators Can Enhance this Process with Successful Interactive Development
We are innately meant to communicate. From the first moments of birth, infants are "hard-wired" to connect with parents, caregivers, and educators. Though we are naturally equipped, there are strategies you will learn to facilitate this process to promote the communicative journey. Birth-5yrs of age are significantly formative years for well-adjusted, resilient behavior in our children, and attendees will leave with the strategies to equip young children with strong verbal skills to ensure academic success. Additionally, attendees will learn that the speech mechanism is engineered to chew and swallow a variety of textures and consistencies of food to ensure adequate hydration and nutrition. Problem-solving strategies for children with feeding issues will also be explored. Finally, attendees will understand how strong communicative skills and healthy feeding behaviors equate to a most favorable quality of life.
