Faith-Filled Explorations: Picture the Bible
Faith formation for small and tall children is about nurturing curiosity and questions, helping students know God’s love and grace, and supporting them as they explore faith and the life of discipleship. This webinar features Picture the Bible resources that promote biblical literacy and interpretation in engaging, meaningful ways that are connected to children’s lives.
Picture the Bible educational materials:
- Are a range of ready-to-go curricular resources rooted in strong theology and careful biblical reflection;
- Link Bible stories and contemporary children’s literature;
- Incorporate beautiful, diverse, original art images that engage students;
- Provide accessible, supportive biblical background for teachers;
- Are readily implemented and flexible for use in large and small groups;
- Include resources that bridge school/church and family life.
Participants who attend the webinar live will receive an email with links to four free Picture the Bible lessons following the event.
Presenter: The Rev. Stacy Johnson Myers holds a M.Div. from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, and a Ph.D. from the Joint Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary/Northwestern University Program in Religious and Theological Studies. She has over 25 years of ordained ministry experience and served Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and currently serves First Congregational Church in River Falls, Wisconsin. Stacy is passionate about education and the intersection of biblical literacy and interpretation, fine art and children’s literature.
