DESCRIPTION:Meet ELEA member\, author\, and outdoor classroom expert Jenny James.  Jenny has been Director of First Lutheran Preschool\, Ellicott City\, MD\, for the past 15 years\, developing and launching an outdoor classroom. This endeavor hasn't always been easy. "People are conditioned to think that real learning happens indoors in a highly controlled environment. We challenge this idea by suggesting that children can learn more authentically when they are outdoors solving real problems\, digging in the dirt\, collecting stones or acorns\, and using all of their senses to take in the world"\, Jenny shared. \n\n\n\nJoin us for this inspirational and educational look at outdoor learning and connecting to God.  As Jenny says\, "Outdoor learning is like having a direct link to God. Many people find God in nature\, where they can listen\, smell\,  observe\, and touch their environment."
